Employer brand Brand campaigns Scriptwriting Web Social Editorial Employer brand

Senior Copywriter at Creative Agency Symphony Talent

Unilever is a unique FMCG: they tie commercial success directly to sustainability, benchmarking specific goals against their bottom line for investors. They’re driven to create a better world through better business – be it reducing disease, supporting farmers or educating girls. While working closely with this client, I found that every team member is truly inspired by their mission: ‘A better business. A better world. A better you’.

Across my three-year tenure at Symphony Talent, I worked across key employer brand initiatives like the Unilever Future Leaders League – attending big events, writing scripts, filming shoots and developing channel campaigns to recruit students.

Scriptwriting and storyboarding

‘The Power of U’ campaign

Unilever is a purpose-driven brand, and they encourage each team member to find their individual purpose, too. I wrote and developed ‘The Power of U’ campaign, telling the stories of the people behind the brands – from shining a light on those leading ‘purpose workshops’, to those driving aid initiatives through brands like Lifebuoy.

From concept to execution, I was across all copy, including attending shoots for piece-to-camera, scripts for campaign videos, landing pages and social organic content. LinkedIn was a key focus here: the ‘Power of U’ campaign helped grow their audience to over 15 million members.

Thought leadership articles

Part of my role across ‘The Power of U’ campaign was to write first-person POV blogs from both graduates and business leaders across Unilever, posted organically on LinkedIn. This involved hosting multiple interviews and writing 1000-word articles, blending Unilever’s tone with personal narratives.
